DEVIL'S DUE - Demo update
NEW START SCREEN
- Enhanced Visual Experience: Completely redesigned start screen with dynamic animations
- Floating Pentagrams: 40 animated pentagrams with various sizes creating an immersive hellish atmosphere
- Falling Charm Icons: 30 rotating charm icons fall from the sky with different rarity colors (white, blue, yellow/orange)
- Flying Devils: Animated devil characters fly across the screen at random intervals
- Boss Previews: Boss 2 and Boss 3 images float on the sides with glowing effects
- Swinging Characters: Male and female characters swing on either side of the title
- Upcoming Leaderboard: New "LEADERBOARD" button (currently shows "COMING SOON")
REVOLUTIONARY BOSS FIGHT SYSTEM
- >span class="markdown-bold-text">Phase 3 - Debt Warden: 150 HP with credit manipulation abilities
- Phase 6 - Fortune Ripper: 200 HP with pattern and luck disruption
- Phase 9 - Devil's Right Hand: 300 HP with charm nullification and soul draining
Unique Boss Abilities
Each boss has 3 unique abilities that activate every 2-3 spins:Debt Warden (Phase 3):
- Credit Tax: Next spin costs double credits
- Wage Garnishment: 50% of winnings heal the boss
- Debt Spiral: Symbol multipliers halved for 2 spins
Fortune Ripper (Phase 6):
- Chaos Shuffle: Random symbol shuffling during spins
- Pattern Curse: Disables specific winning patterns
- Luck Reduction: Reduces luck-based charm effectiveness
Devil's Right Hand (Phase 9):
- Charm Nullify: Disables 2 random charms for 3 spins
- Hellfire Spin: 50% chance for 0 winnings on next spin
- Soul Rend: Lose 10 credits per spin for 2 spins
LEGENDARY CHARM DROPS
Each boss drops a unique legendary charm upon defeat:
- Devil's Pact (Debt Warden): All tribute costs halved, but 25% chance credits vanish
- Fortune's Favor (Fortune Ripper): 50% chance to double winnings, but 25% chance to lose everything
- Soul Gambit (Devil's Right Hand): 25% chance to trigger random winning pattern on losing spins
ENHANCED VICTORY SCREEN
- Spectacular Coin Rain: 50 animated coins fall during victory celebration
- Boss Defeat Animation: 3-second death animation before victory screen
- Charm Management: Option to replace existing charms if inventory is full
- Accept/Refuse System: Choose to claim or refuse the legendary reward
ENDLESS MODE CHOICE
After defeating the final boss (Devil's Right Hand), players get a choice:
- π CLAIM VICTORY: End the run and claim ultimate victory
- π ENDLESS MODE: Continue with Phase 10+ where tribute costs rise exponentially
IMPROVED GAME OVER SCREEN
- Victory Path: Complete game with all bosses defeated
- Endless Mode: Continue beyond the main story
- Defeat Path: Standard game over with boss victory messages
LEADERBOARD SYSTEM (Coming Soon)
- Tracks boss defeat times for competitive play
- Phase 3, 6, and 9 boss completion tracking
- Future implementation for global leaderboards
VISUAL ENHANCEMENTS
- Hellish Glow Effects: Enhanced lighting and particle effects
- Boss HP Animations: Spectacular damage/healing animations
- Ability Activation: Wild red blink animations when bosses use abilities
- Victory Celebrations: Coin rain and charm display animations
TECHNICAL IMPROVEMENTS
- Enhanced State Management: Improved boss fight state handling
- Voice Line Integration: Full audio support for all boss interactions
- Animation System: Smooth transitions and visual feedback
